A few weeks of sun and we are definitely in the summer spirit here in Belfast.
The buzz around Belfast is continuing to grow with the sunny weather sticking around. With our iconic landmarks looking better than ever in the sun and our locals in good spirits – it definitely is the perfect time to visit Belfast! On Wednesday 14th of June, we will see two major cruise ships dock in Belfast with a combined capacity of 5400 people! We will be delighted to welcome visitors into the shop this week and provide them with some true Belfast hospitality.
With a steady flow of international visitors, it is also great for us to see domestic tourism on the rise. Visitors from the ROI are up more than 50% in comparison to pre-pandemic visitors. With an increase in domestic tourism one of the growing trends is an increase in outdoor walking tours – who love to stop by our store. Exploring Belfast on foot has provided tourists with an insight to true Belfast experiences. Research has shown tourists visiting Northern Ireland this summer are seeking authentic experiences – we definitely provide a true authentic Belfast experience in our store and through our products! We have updated our Belfast Guide to include some of our new favourite spots around Belfast. Customers in our store have been loving picking up their free Belfast guide. Our guide provides our favourite places for a fry, a pint and even the best bowls of stew!
On Wednesday 7th of June, we had a busy day at Digital DNAs event in St. Georges Market. With 2,000 people from across the tech industry attending the event, the world of tech come together in Belfast to network and showcase their innovative tech businesses. It was amazing to see the turn out and buzz around St. Georges market with 2,000 people in the heart of Belfast on a sunny Wednesday morning. We loved connecting with past and potential clients interested in our corporate gifting options and we are super excited to work with the connections made over the next few months! It’s amazing to see the impact these large business events have on the hospitality and hotels industry in Belfast especially Sunday- Thursday when hotels, bars and restaurants are a lot quieter.
We are excited for all our visitors over the next few months to fall in love with Belfast - just as much as we do!!
